Abstract

The invention relates to an off-line gadget integration development environment, and provides a system which is connected to a remote server without a network for running a gadget application program and a method for running the gadget application program without network connection. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving a gadget extensible markup language (XML) file associated with the gadget application program on a local server; analyzing the gadget XML file and a related message group according to a gadget specification without network connection; rendering the gadget application program without network connection; and displaying the gadget application program on a display which is connected to the local server. The invention also provides a system for running the gadget application program without network connection, which comprises a gadget analyzer and a gadget renderer.
