[0093] 50 parts by mass of biguanide octanebenzenesulfonate (softening point: 60°C) was dissolved in 50 parts by mass of methanol. This solution was mixed with 50 parts by mass of acidic silica (trade name "Carplex XR" manufactured by Shionogi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), and heated at 50° C. to distill off methanol. Abstract

Disclosed are a granular wettable powder that contains an agrochemical active ingredient with a melting point or softening point of 70ºC or lower, acidic white carbon, basic white carbon, a polycarboxylic acid-based surfactant, and a saccharide with a molecular weight of 400 or less, and a method for manufacture thereof. The granular wettable powder has superior disintegration and dispersibility in water, and crop injury is suppressed, even after storage at high temperatures.
