Abstract

The invention discloses an effective image adaption method. The conventional seam carving method and non-homogeneous warping method are combined by an image distance evaluation method. The method comprises the following steps of: cutting images by adopting the seam carving method, and calculating a distance between the current image and a reference image after each seam is extracted, wherein the distance is represented by an important information deformation function and is obtained by weighting the average image difference of sub-images of important pixels remained after the seam is removed and the average energy loss of the removed important pixels; evaluating the deformation degree of the adapted image relative to the reference image through the important information deformation function, and calculating an average information deformation difference according to an average value of important information deformation function values after the seam is removed; and stopping the seam carving method when the value of the important information deformation function exceeds the average information deformation difference, and using the non-homogeneous warping method until an image with the target size. By the method, non-important areas in an image are removed, the ratio and details of important objects in the zoomed image are effectively maintained, and the comprehensive optimal image adaption is realized.
