Abstract

A focal-plane shutter includes an electromagnet (70B), a board 10 having an aperture (11), a back curtain (20B) for opening or closing the aperture (11), and a back curtain driving lever (40B). The back curtain driving lever (40B) holds an iron piece (46b) to be attracted by the electromagnet (70B), is capable of moving such that the iron piece (46b) is in contact with or away from the electromagnet (70B), is biased by a spring (54B) such that the iron piece (46b) is away from the electromagnet (70B), and drives the back curtain (20B). Furthermore, the focal-plane shutter includes a holding plate (90) provided with a pair of elastic-deformable holding parts (92b) and (95b) for holding the electromagnet (70B) therebetween, and this holding plate (90) is placed facing the board (10). In addition, the electromagnet (70B) has limitation parts (72b4) that are fitted in the board (10), thereby limiting the movement of the electromagnet (70B) in a direction where the iron piece (46b) is away from the electromagnet (70B).
