A feed additive for improving immunity of freshwater fish comprises the following components by weight: 650-700 parts of fly maggot powder, 200-300 parts of seabuckthorn seed protein powder, 120-130 parts of carboxymethyl micropore corn starch, 100-120 parts of seabuckthorn leaf powder, 40-60 parts of seabuckthorn flavone of 10%, 1-2 parts of saccharomycete powder and 1-2 parts of lactic acid bacteria powder. The invention further provides a preparation method of the feed additive, which comprises the following steps: (1) using water to dissolve seabuckthorn flavone into 65%-75%solution, adding the carboxymethyl micropore corn starch, and evenly mixing to obtain a mixture; (2) warming a drying device in advance to 60-80 DEG C, placing the mixture prepared in the step (1) in the drying device for drying, grinding to exceed 100 meshes, and obtaining seabuckthorn flavone after embedding treatment; and (3) placing the fly maggot powder, the seabuckthorn seed protein powder, the seabuckthorn leaf powder, seabuckthorn flavone after embedding treatment, saccharomycete and the lactic acid bacteria powder in a mixing container, and evenly mixing.
