Abstract

The invention relates to an auxiliary parking device which comprises a pick-up device, a processor and a display device. The pick-up device is arranged at the tail part of a vehicle and is used for carrying out image pickup on the rear part of the vehicle. The processor is used for overlaying an auxiliary guide for assisting a driver in parking the vehicle on an image picked up by the pick-up device. The display device is used for displaying the image which is overlaid with the auxiliary guide and is picked up by the pickup device, wherein the auxiliary guide comprises a first guide identifier; a first straight line positioned at the tail part of the vehicle is defined by the first guide identifier; and a distance from the first straight line to the tail part of the vehicle is one of the followings: (1) the distance is at least longer than the length of the vehicle by 1 meter; (2) the ratio of the distance to the length of the vehicle is 1.2 to 1.3; and (3) the distance is in the range of 600 to 650cm. Due to the adoption of the auxiliary parking device disclosed by the invention, the driver knows when the optimal time to steer is in the process of parking in parallel or vertically parking the vehicle and can safely, accurately and rapidly park the vehicle in place.
