Abstract

Each of the storage devices comprises at least two extended ports, is connected with other storage devices through the extended ports, and saves service configuration of the other storage devices. When one storage device has a failure, another storage device takes over the failure storage device after receiving an instruction from the DM, and supplies service for the EC according to the saved service configuration of the failure storage device.
