The end cover comprises a main body and a mounting part which is fixedly connected with the main body, wherein the middle part of the main body is provided with a mounting slot, the two ends of the mounting slot are close to the edge of the main body, and at least one oil hole is respectively arranged at each of two ends of the bottom of the mounting slot. The end cover further comprises a transparent plate which is fixed at the mounting slot, and an oil channel is arranged on the transparent plate and is communicated with the oil hole. The end cover provided by the invention can visually show the level height of lubricating oil in the reduction gear so that the detection on the level height of the lubricating oil in the reduction gear is simple, convenient and time-saving. The invention further discloses the reduction gear. The reduction gear comprises a box body and the end cover which is arranged on the box body, wherein the end cover corresponds to the end part, in the box body, of a shaft of the reduction gear, and the end cover is provided by the invention.
