Abstract

The invention discloses a harm reducing natural plant additive for cigarettes, and a preparation method and application thereof. The additive comprises a natural plant extract composition or a compound natural plant extract, wherein the natural plants include herba epimedii, eclipta, tussilago farfara, leonurus, dandelion and trichosanthes peel. The additive is prepared according to a method as follows: extracting and refining herba epimedii, eclipta, tussilago farfara, leonurus, dandelion and trichosanthes peel respectively, and then blending all of the extracts in a ratio of (1-8): (0.8-6): (0.5-4): (0.3-4): (0.3-5): 1, thereby forming the harm reducing additive for cigarettes; or mixing herba epimedii, eclipta, tussilago farfara, leonurus, dandelion and trichosanthes peel in a ratio of (0.5-8): (0.5-6): (0.2-4): (0.3-4): (0.3-5): 1 and then extracting and refining the mixture, thereby forming the harm reducing additive for cigarettes. The additive is added to the cut tobacco, cut stems and slices of cigarettes in an addition proportion of 0.002-0.5wt%. Compared with the prior art, proved by pharmacological and toxicological smoke study, the harm reducing natural plant additive for cigarettes has obvious biological harm reduction effect after being added to the cigarettes.
