Abstract

A post coupler 20 is provided with a pair of coupler flanges 50, 51 having rivet receiving apertures 60 for receiving rivets 45, 46 extending from horizontal shelf-supporting beams 21, 22 to facilitate vertical shelf placement in a shelving unit 10 unfettered by the vertical disposition of the post couplers 20. Apertures in the coupler 20 index with apertures 30 in abutting corner post sections 25, 26 to permit rivet extension therethrough. The reverse bend flanges 54, 55 of the coupler 20 have a length shorter than the overall length of the coupler 20.
