Abstract

Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a method and device for managing cell interference. The method comprises: generating carrier coordination information, where the carrier coordination information comprises frequency information of a carrier and trans-carrier scheduling-related information of the carrier, and where the trans-carrier scheduling-related information is for use by a first base station and by a second base station in negotiating scheduling characteristics of the carrier, thus reducing on the carrier a co-channel interference between the first base station and the second base station; and transmitting the carrier coordination information to the second base station. The embodiments of the present invention allow for the exchange between base stations of the frequency information of the carrier used thereby and of the trans-carrier scheduling-related information of the carrier, thereby coordinating between the base stations in configuring different scheduling characteristics for a same carrier, thus reducing the co-interference between the base stations.
