The invention discloses a method, a system and a mobile terminal capable of allowing a 2G (Second Generation) or 3G (Third Generation) mobile phone card to be accessed to an LTE (Long Term Evolution) network. The method, the system and the mobile terminal adopt the technical scheme that on the side of the mobile terminal, a first authentication computed value is computed by using a first authentication parameter of the 2G or 3G mobile phone card, and according to an authentication algorithm corresponding to the 2G or 3G mobile phone card, and serves as an input; a second authentication computed value is computed according to an LET network authentication algorithm and sent to a mobile management entity; on the side of the network, the first authentication parameter of the 2G or 3G mobile phone card extracted from an authentication database is used by the mobile management entity, and a third authentication computed value is computed according to the authentication algorithm corresponding to the 2G or 3G mobile phone card, and serves as an input; and a fourth authentication computed value is computed according to the LET network authentication algorithm.
