Abstract

The invention discloses a population migration dynamics-based optimization method-PMDO algorithm. Based on a population migration dynamics theory, the population migration dynamics-based optimization method comprises the following steps: supposing that multiple habitats exist in an ecosystem, each habitat has specific unchanged living conditions and different biological populations live in each habitat; within a cycle, competing at random, benefiting mutually, catching food-being caught as food, fusing, learning and doing leisure activities by the populations according to the living conditions of the respective habitats; and after one cycle, deciding whether to migrate or not based on the quality of the respective habitats by some populations, namely, if there are multiple better habitats, then randomly selecting one habitat for migration, otherwise not migrating. Through the activities, PSI indexes of all populations are kept unchanged, or become better, thus ensuring global convergence of the whole algorithm; and the population migration dynamics-based optimization method has the characteristics of strong searching capability and the global convergence, and provides a solution for a high-dimensional optimization problem.
