Problems solved by technology

However, it is generally assumed that the clock used by the transmitter (transmitter, TX) circuit is a time-invariant clock frequency, so when the clock actually used has a time-varying clock frequency, it will affect several operations
An existing solution is to make the frequency divider operate at a high frequency to compensate for the frequency deviation effect and obtain a clean clock. However, this approach will increase the chip area and power consumption, because most of the Apps are penny-pinching on cost, so this is not practical

[0018] Certain terms are used in the description and claims to refer to particular elements. It should be understood by those skilled in the art that manufacturers may use different terms to refer to the same element. The specification and claims do not use the difference in name as the way to distinguish components, but the difference in function of the components as the basis for the difference. "Includes" mentioned throughout the specification and claims is an open term, so it should be interpreted as "including but not limited to". In addition, the term "coupled" herein includes any direct and indirect means of electrical connection. Therefore, if it is described that a first device is electrically connected to a second device, it means that the first device may be directly connected to the second device, or indirectly connected to the second device through other devices or connection means.

Abstract

A polar transmitter includes a frequency modulating path, a clock divider and a digital processing block. The frequency modulating path is arranged for generating a frequency modulated clock in response to a frequency modulating signal. The clock divider is coupled to the frequency modulated clock, and arranged for generating a down-divided clock. The digital processing block is coupled to the down-divided clock, and arranged for generating the frequency modulating signal, wherein the frequency modulating signal is adjusted for frequency deviation of the frequency modulated clock. A method for polar transmission includes: generating a frequency modulated clock in response to a frequency modulating signal; dividing a frequency of said frequency modulated clock to generate a down-divided clock; and generating said frequency modulating signal according to said down-divided clock, wherein said frequency modulating signal is adjusted for frequency deviation of said frequency modulated clock. The frequency deviation effect can be effectively compensated.

Description

【Technical field】 [0001] The present invention relates to a polar coordinate transmitter and a polar coordinate transmission method, in particular to a polar coordinate transmitter with a digital processing block and a polar coordinate transmission method. 【Background technique】 [0002] The digital polar transmitter has several advantages, such as reducing the complexity of the modulation path and current consumption, while solving the problem of image rejection (image rejection), so the polar transmitter is more suitable for application in advanced complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) ) in the process. More specifically, the digital polar transmitter is capable of decomposing a complex fundamental frequency signal into an amplitude-modulated (AM) component and a phase-modulated (PM) component (rather than the same phase (in-phase) component and a quadrature (quadrature phase) component), the two components are then recombined into a radio-frequency (radio-freque...
