Abstract

A gear shifting cylinder assembly and a gear selecting cylinder assembly are added to an upper cover assembly under the condition that a mechanical gear transmission main body is not changed; pneumatic pistons which are arranged in cylinders are controlled and accordingly gear selection and gear shifting can be controlled; meanwhile the soft positioning can be achieved through the change of gear selecting cylinders according to the different requirements of the gear control number of a gear box, wherein the soft positioning of five gear control can be achieved only through the single cylinder and the soft positioning of six gear control can be achieved only through adding of the double cylinders; the compressed air required by the pistons is provided by a vehicle air source and controlled by electromagnetic valves; the electromagnetic valves are controlled by ECUs of an EPS system in turn; the ECUs can determine whether gear shifting of a transmission can be performed or not according to the vehicle speed, the rotation speed of an engine, a gear to be changed and the separation condition of a clutch and the integral gear shifting process can be controlled; meanwhile the operation which is against gear shifting operation procedures is not executed and accordingly the gearbox and driving safety can be protected.
