Embodiment Construction

[0047] The following will clearly and completely describe the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present invention. Obviously, the described embodiments are part of the embodiments of the present invention, not all of them. Based on the embodiments of the present invention, all other embodiments obtained by persons of ordinary skill in the art without making creative efforts shall fall within the protection scope of the present invention.

[0048] The embodiment of the present invention proposes a method for testing throughput in two directions of a link with inconsistent bidirectional throughput by operating only the transmitting end device without operating the two devices at both ends of the link at the same time.

[0049] The following will combine figure 1 Specifically describe the method for testing the throughput of the sending end side according to the embodiment of the present invent...

Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and an apparatus for testing a throughput, a receiving end device and a sending end device, wherein the method for testing a throughput comprises: a sending end sending a loopback control packet with a first packet length to a receiving end, wherein the loopback control packet carries packet control information, and the packet control information instructs the receiving end to construct a loopback response packet with a second packet length, wherein a ratio of the second packet length to the first packet length is smaller than a ratio of a second maximum bandwidth to a first maximum bandwidth, or is larger than a ratio of the first maximum bandwidth to the second maximum bandwidth; the sending end receiving the loopback response packet sent back from the receiving end; and the sending end determining a throughput of a link between the sending end and the receiving end according to a packet count of the loopback response packet and a packet count of the loopback control packet. The embodiments of the present invention can clearly test bi-directional throughputs of asymmetric links with inconsistent throughputs.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the communication field, in particular, to a method and device for testing the throughput of an asymmetric link, a receiving end device and a sending end device. Background technique [0002] Ethernet (Ethernet) technology has been widely used and has become one of the most important technologies in the entire communication network. Compared with other networks, the advantages of Ethernet network construction costs are more and more obvious. [0003] However, with the continuous development of Ethernet, operators are paying more and more attention to the maintainability of Ethernet equipment, hoping to deploy performance detection functions in Ethernet networks to test link quality including throughput. Here, throughput refers to: sending frames at an increasing rate (up to the theoretical maximum rate), recording the proportion of received frames, and the rate at which frames start to be lost is the throughput under t...
