Abstract

The invention provides a method for road intersection traffic signal in-vehicle sensing. The method comprises a first step of setting signal periods and vehicle starting time and yellow time according to intersection geometric conditions; a second step of obtaining the time headway of each entrance channel, and accordingly calculating the hour flow of the entrance channel; a third step of calculating the green lamp proportion of each intersection and accordingly distributing effective green time of each entrance channel; a fourth step of executing traffic signal timing according to distribution results through a traffic instrument; a fifth step of judging whether red time of some entrance in timing results exceeds a signal period T; if the red time of some entrance in the timing results exceeds the signal period T, returning to the second step, or else sending the timing results to a vehicle-mounted receiving end.
