Abstract

The present invention relates to a seat suspension pad (16), eg for use in a vehicle seat (10), comprising a plurality of Spring member (20). A plurality of spring members, including at least one central spring member (20b, 20c) and at least two outer spring members (20a, 20d) arranged side by side with the at least one central spring member. Underneath the at least one central spring member are underpass cross-links (32) attached to the at least two outer spring members. The underpass cross link carries electrical contact elements (34) disposed below the at least one central spring member so as to be pressed up by the at least one central spring member when the at least one central spring member flexes downwardly under load. The invention also relates to a seat.
