Embodiment Construction

[0012] A variety of different systems and methods are included in locking double hook shackles. figure 1 One embodiment of a locking double hook shackle (LDC) 100 is shown. The LDC 100 includes a top hook 110 and a bottom hook 110 . A gate 120 is oriented to cover each hook 110 . Slide lock 130 provides locking of gate 120 of LDC 100 by sliding into a locked position in notch 140 . As clearly shown in the drawings, the slide lock 130 secures the gate 120 of the LDC 100 . Therefore, even when pressure is applied to the gates 120, these gates will not open. The sliding lock 130 may slide up and down along the gate 120 .

[0013] figure 2 The hook 110 portion of the LDC 100 is shown with additional hardware removed. The hook includes gate apertures 220 , 230 and gate notch 210 .

Abstract

The present invention provides a locking shackle for securely hanging an object comprising: a body, a first hook portion and a second hook portion attached to the body and oriented to close the first hook portion and the second hook portion first and second gates and first and second sliders oriented respectively on the first and second gates, the sliders being positioned in first and second notches of the body in the locked position, And away from the first notch and the second notch at the unlocked position. Wherein, the first slider and the second slider have a first aperture and a second aperture at respective ends, and each of the first slider and the second slider gradually passes from the first aperture to the second aperture. Constriction such that constriction at the second aperture prevents the first slide and the second slide from sliding off the first gate and the second gate, respectively. The locking shackle according to the present invention can avoid the situation that the gate is opened and the shackle is disengaged due to accidental movement of the gate during the movement.

Description

Background technique [0001] Carabineers are found in a variety of situations for securely hanging objects from multiple attachment points. Often, a gate on the shackle may accidentally move during motion and may cause the gate to open and the shackle to disengage. Such disengagement is undesirable. Contents of the invention [0002] In one embodiment, an apparatus for attaching an article includes a body and first and second hooks oriented on first and second sides of the body. The device also includes a first gate attached to the body and oriented to close the first hook, and a second gate attached to the body and oriented to close the second hook. The device also includes a first slide lock and a second slide lock, the first slide lock and the second slide lock are oriented on the first gate and the second gate respectively, the first slide lock and the second slide lock The member has a first position and a second position, the first position is a locked position, in w...
