Abstract

The invention discloses application of matteuccia struthiopteris total triterpenes in protection of acute alcoholic liver injury, belonging to the technical field of biological medicines. According to the application, a mold is made by virtue of a peroral one-time heavy drinking method; GOT and GPT biochemical indexes show that GOT and GPT can be inhibited to a certain degree by the matteuccia struthiopteris total triterpenes, and the inhibiting effect is in a positive relation with the dosage of administration; MDA and SOD biochemical indexes show that a protection mechanism of purified substances of the matteuccia struthiopteris total triterpenes to acute alcohol-induced liver injury may be related with oxidization resistance of the purified substances, and meanwhile, the purified substances are capable of assisting and enhancing original SOD activity of an organism and clearing harmful free radicals when serving as a reducing agent, thereby relieving the alcoholic liver injury; by virtue of the purified substances of the matteuccia struthiopteris total triterpenes, oxidative damage caused by lipid peroxidation, free radical attack and the like in livers can be effectively relieved, the degrees of liver cell swelling, necrosis and fatty degeneration are lowered, and cells are regulated to recover normal metabolism and physiological functions, so that the matteuccia struthiopteris total triterpenes play a certain protection role in the acute alcoholic liver injury.
