Abstract

A system for controlling condensation associated with a vehicle engine air supply includes a shutter assembly configured to selectively allow airflow therethrough. A source air cooler is configured to provide intake air to the engine. The air source cooler is positioned adjacent the shutter assembly such that air flowing through the shutter assembly is incident on the outside of the air source cooler. A controller determines when at least one condition favoring condensation within the source air cooler exists, and controls the shutter assembly to vary an amount of air incident on an outside of the source air cooler to control condensation in the source air cooler.
