Problems solved by technology

On the one hand, in traditional carbon fiber paper, the distribution of carbon fibers is uneven and the specific surface area is small, which restricts the function of the gas diffusion layer to evenly diffuse the reaction gas.
On the other hand, the traditional carbon fiber paper has a large resistivity, which restricts the function of the electrons necessary for the conduction reaction of the gas diffusion layer and the electrons generated by the reaction.
These shortcomings directly affect the electrochemical performance of fuel cell membrane electrodes such as reactivity.

Abstract

The invention relates to a membrane electrode assembly of a fuel cell. The membrane electrode assembly comprises a proton exchange membrane and electrodes, wherein the electrodes are respectively arranged on two opposite surfaces of the proton exchange membrane, each electrode comprises a gas diffusion layer and a catalyst layer, the gas diffusion layer comprises a carbon fiber membrane, the carbon fiber membrane comprises a plurality of carbon nanotubes and a plurality of graphite sheets, the plurality of carbon nanotubes are connected in an end-to-end manner and extend along the same direction to form a membrane shape, each carbon nanotube is encircled by the plurality of graphite sheets, and an angle between each graphite sheet and the outer wall of the carbon nanotube is formed. The invention also relates to a preparation method for the membrane electrode assembly of the fuel cell.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a fuel cell membrane electrode, in particular to a fuel cell membrane electrode based on carbon nanotubes. Background technique [0002] A fuel cell is an electrochemical power generation device that converts fuel and oxidant gases into electrical energy and produces reaction products. Compared with other battery systems such as alkaline batteries and lithium batteries, fuel cells have the advantages of high energy conversion efficiency, low environmental pollution, wide application range, no noise, and continuous operation. They are widely used in military, national defense and civilian power, automotive, communications and other fields. [0003] Fuel cells can generally be divided into alkaline fuel cells, solid oxide fuel cells, and proton exchange membrane fuel cells. (See, Recent advances in fuel cell technology and its application, Journal of Power Sources, V100, P60-66 (2001)). Among them, the proton exchange membrane...
