Abstract

The invention discloses a BGP logical topology generation method and device, relating to the field of communication. The method comprises the following steps that: a controller obtains node information and BGP session information of first forwarding equipment, and obtains node information and BGP session information of second forwarding equipment; and the controller generates a BGP logical topology between the first forwarding equipment and the second forwarding equipment according to the node information and the BGP session information of the first forwarding equipment and the node information and the BGP session information of the second forwarding equipment. By means of the technical scheme provided by the invention, the controller can collect BGP logical topologies of forwarding equipment; and thus, the controller is facilitated to manage the forwarding equipment operating a BGP protocol.
