1344 results about "Test procedures" patented technology

Test procedures facilitate thorough software testing by allowing individual modules or arbitrary groups of modules to be thoroughly tested outside the environment in which they will eventually reside. Test procedures are complete, self-contained, self-validating and execute automatically.

Finger-placement sensor tape

A finger-placement sensor tape aligns and removably secures a finger to a sensor pad of a reusable finger-clip optical sensor so as to assure the finger is repeatably aligned between the sensors emitters and detectors and that the finger stays aligned during a test procedure. The sensor tape has a double-sided tape layer having a silicon-based adhesive on a finger side and an acrylic adhesive on a sensor-side. An aperture is defined in the tape layer so as to allow emitters disposed in a top sensor pad to emit light through the tape layer to detectors disposed in a bottom sensor pad. A finger-side release layer is removably disposed over the silicon-based adhesive. A sensor-side release layer is removably disposed over the acrylic adhesive.

Methods for the identification of genetic features for complex genetics classifiers

A candidate single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) combination is selected from a plurality of candidate SNP combinations for a gene associated with a genetic trait. Haplotype data associated with this candidate SNP combination are read for a plurality of individuals and grouped into a positive-responding group and a negative-responding group based on whether a predetermined trait criteria for an individual is met. A statistical analysis on the grouped haplotype data is performed to obtain a statistical measurement. The acts of selecting, reading, grouping, and performing are repeated as necessary to identity the candidate SNP combination having the optimal statistical measurement. In one approach, a directed search based on results of previous statistical analysis of SNP combinations is performed until the optimal statistical measurement is obtained. In addition, the number of SNP combinations selected and analyzed may be reduced based on a simultaneous testing procedure.

Remote estimation of round-trip delays in a data network

Disclosed is a technique for data network congestion diagnosis using remote estimation of round-trip delays. A monitoring node transmits test messages between network nodes and measures the transit times between when the test messages are transmitted from, and when they return to, the monitoring node. A path delay between network nodes is determined based on the measured time delays. The techniques for determining network path delay are also utilized in conjunction with a three phase test procedure for diagnosing network congestion problems. Due to various network topologies and routing tables, certain confirmatory checks may be required to determine whether the procedures of the first or second phase test procedures are appropriate for particular path segments. Further, queuing delays may be determined by subtracting traffic independent delays from the measured transit times of the test messages, and such queuing delays may be used to determine the path delays. Such traffic independent delays may be determined during periods of low network traffic.

Remote access for mobile devices

Remote testing of a Mobile Device or Mobile Application while that device is located in a target Carrier Network is disclosed. A person, or an automated program, running the test remotely (“Remote Tester”) or (“Remote Automation Script”), does not need to be present in the target Carrier Network, and can control all functions of the Mobile Device over a standard computer network, or the Internet. The functions of the Mobile Device are controlled by interacting with a local application (“Device Conductor”) which communicates with a server managing the remote device (“Device Server”) using standard Internet communication protocols. The Device Server will pass all commands to a hardware or software based controller (“Device Controller”) which will directly operate the Mobile Device in a manner similar to how the device would be operated by a person that is located near the device.

Durable plastic mini card and method for testing its durability

A mini card has a size smaller than a card that conforms to established standards, and includes a hole for attachment to a key ring or other external device. Increased durability is provided by means of a substrate that includes a core made of PVC material, sandwiched between two durable layers of polyester material. Printing on these layers is protected by transparent overlay layers made of PVC. The durability of the card is measured by means of a test procedure in which random multi-dimensional motion is imparted to an assembly of the card and an attached weight. The durability is quantitatively indicated by the amount of elapsed time until the weight becomes separated from the card while undergoing the vibrational movement.

System for dynamic diagnosis of apparatus operating conditions

A diagnostic platform includes a processor, storage media and user interfaces, including a display screen, the processor being coupled to engine analyzer hardware and adapted to be coupled to a scanner for downloading data from vehicle on-board computers. The system stores libraries of information regarding vehicle identifications, drivability symptoms exhibited by vehicles, vehicle system and component tests and service codes which can be registered by the vehicle on-board computer. System software permits the user to input an identification of the vehicle under test and, in one mode of operation, displays a library of faults, such as symptoms or service codes, from which the user can select those exhibited by the vehicle, whereupon the system selects from the test library those tests pertinent to diagnosis of the causes of the selected faults and displays them in a hierarchically ranked order based on likelihood of successful diagnosis of the faults. The user can then select and initiate any displayed test. In other modes, the system initially displays one of the libraries of system or component tests, from which the user selects those deemed appropriate, whereupon the system highlights icons which can be selected for initiating pertinent test procedures. Selected test procedures may include links to the engine analyzer or scanner hardware or other appropriate test modules.

Test method, control circuit and system for reduced time combined write window and retention testing

A method, test mode circuit and system for a combined write window and retention test for a memory device that is faster than techniques heretofore known. The combined write window and retention test procedure involves controlling time intervals during which wordlines are activated and deactivated and bitlines are grounded or connected to a bitline high voltage such that the wordlines are activated while bitlines are either grounded or at the bitline high voltage. During a first time interval after the wordlines are activated a first value (e.g., 0 V) is written to storage cells associated with the activated wordlines. During a second time interval after a second activation of the wordlines, a second value (a non-zero logic “1” V) is written to storage cells associated with activated wordlines. The second time interval has a duration that establishes write window test conditions. After expiration of a third time interval corresponding to a retention time interval, the storage cells are read and a determination is made whether a storage cell has passed or failed a combined write window and retention test based on a value read from the storage cell.

Runtime programmable BIST for testing a multi-port memory device

One embodiment provides a runtime programmable system which comprises methods and apparatuses for testing a multi-port memory device to detect a multi-port memory fault, in addition to typical single-port memory faults that can be activated when accessing a single port of a memory device. More specifically, the system comprises a number of mechanisms which can be configured to activate and detect any realistic fault which affects the memory device when two simultaneous memory access operations are performed.
