The image adjusting method, applied to a display with a brightness sensor, includes the following steps: detecting ambient brightness of a place where the display is located by the brightness sensor; adjusting backlight brightness of the display according to the ambient brightness; and using at least one first correction function selected from multiple correction functions to adjust brightness of pixels with specific gray scale values of the display, and using a second correction function selected from the correction functions to adjust brightness of other pixels besides the pixels with the specific gray scale values of the display, wherein the at least one first correction function is determined according to the ambient brightness and the second correction function does not change along with the ambient brightness.
