The PCB online detecting method comprises the following steps: acquiring current PCB high-resolution colorful images which pass through the image acquiring working station in real time, wherein the resolution is 1,270 ppi at least; layering the high-resolution colorful images according to different colors in the images, carrying out extreme lossy compression on the images in each layer, and carrying out original lossless compression on images among the layers; and transmitting a preprocessing finish signal to an integrated control working station so that the integrated control working station can transmit compression data processing signals to idle image processing working stations in real time, wherein the preprocessing finish signal is a signal showing that compression data of high-resolution colorful images have been obtained, and the idle image processing working stations are image processing working stations which do not carry out image processing tasks at present.
