Abstract

The invention provides an automobile engine ignition test system and test method. The automobile engine ignition test system comprises an ECU, a standard gap spark plug, a non-standard gap spark plug, ignition coils, two knob type variable resistors, an ignition regulator, an ignition logic relay and a relay. The standard gap spark plug is connected with one of the ignition coils in series and then connected with the ECU. The non-standard gap spark plug is connected with the relay. The relay is connected with a switch arranged on the ignition regulator. The two knob type variable resistors comprise knobs and variable resistor bodies correspondingly. The two knobs are arranged on the ignition regulator. One end of one of the ignition coils corresponding to the non-standard gap spark plug is connected with the ignition regulator, and the other end of the ignition coil corresponding to the non-standard gap spark plug is connected with the ECU, wherein a primary coil resistor and a secondary coil resistor of the ignition coil are in series connection with one variable resistor body correspondingly and then connected with the corresponding knob. The ignition regulator is connected with the ignition logic relay. The ignition logic relay is connected with the ECU.
