Abstract

The invention provides a fault determining method and device. The method comprises the following steps that: obtaining the compiling results of items which finish being compiled in a target system; according to the compiling results, judging whether the items which fail in compiling in the items which finish being compiled meet a preset fault item positioning condition or not, wherein the fault item positioning condition comprises that the number of the items which fail in compiling achieves a preset threshold value, the items which fail in compiling are continuous items and compiling error information recorded in logs corresponding to the items which fail in compiling is the same; and if the items which fail in compiling in the items which finish being compiled meet the preset fault item positioning condition, determining the item which ranks first in the items which fail in compiling as a fault item. Therefore, by use of the technical scheme disclosed by the invention, the compiling result of a plurality of items which finish being compiled in the target system can be obtained from a compiling server, the fault item is determined according to the compiling result of the plurality of items which finish being compiled, the automatic troubleshooting of the fault items is realized, and management personnel do not need to carry out troubleshooting from all items so as to improve fault item searching efficiency.
