Abstract

The invention discloses a display device comprising a display panel, a backlight module and a rear light redirecting layer. The display panel has a bottom surface. The backlight module is provided on the bottom side of the display panel and has a light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate has a first face opposite to the bottom surface and a second face parallel to the first face. The light guide plate further has an entrance surface located on a side of the light guide plate, and the light source is provided along the light entrance surface. The rear light redirecting layer is disposed at a position near the edge on the second face and includes a first region and a second region.
