Embodiment Construction

[0050] In order to make the technical problems, technical solutions and advantages to be solved by the present invention clearer, the following will describe in detail with reference to the drawings and specific embodiments.

[0051] Aiming at the existing problems that the dynamic change process of facial expressions is not described and it is difficult to monitor the pain of newborns in real time, the present invention provides a newborn pain recognition method based on facial expression analysis.

[0052] Such as figure 1 As shown, the neonatal pain recognition method based on facial expression analysis provided by the embodiment of the present invention includes:

[0053] S101, acquiring a video sequence including face information;

[0054] S102, extracting facial dynamic geometric features and facial dynamic texture features representing dynamic changes in painful facial expressions from the acquired video sequence;

[0055] S103, performing feature fusion on the extracte...

Abstract

The present invention provides a neonatal pain identification method based on facial expression analysis, which can identify whether a newborn is painful or not. The method comprises: obtaining a video sequence containing facial information of a human face; extracting facial dynamic geometric features and facial dynamic texture features that represent dynamic changes in pain facial expressions from the obtained video sequence; carrying out feature fusion on the extracted facial dynamic geometric features and the facial dynamic texture feature, and carrying out dimension reduction on a facial feature vector obtained after the fusion; and according to the facial feature vector obtained after the dimension reduction, training a classifier. The present invention relates to the technical field of pattern identification and biomedicine.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of pattern recognition and biomedical technology, in particular to a newborn pain recognition method based on facial expression analysis. Background technique [0002] Pain is a social communication tendency of human evolution. As a special sensory experience related to injury, it can convey the discomfort caused by various harmful stimuli. Pain is of great significance and value to the survival of individuals. In 1976, the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) defined pain as "an unpleasant subjective sensory and emotional experience associated with tissue damage or potential damage". In 1995, the American Pain Society listed pain as the fifth vital sign and emphasized the importance of systematic evaluation and routine recording of pain. [0003] Facial expression is the most intuitive and important behavioral indicator in observation and assessment, which is more sensitive than observation indicat...
