Abstract

An implant configured for fusing a first bone segment and a second bone segment during an operative procedure and constructed in accordance to one example of the present disclosure includes an implantbody, a first bone interfacing portion and a second bone interfacing portion. The implant body can extend longitudinally between an insertion end and an opposite end. The first bone interfacing portion can be provided on the implant body and be configured to be implanted relative to the first bone segment. The second bone interfacing portion can be provided on the implant body and be configured to be implanted relative to the second bone segment. The first and second bone interfacing portions can be inserted dorsally into the first and second bone segments, respectively.
