Abstract

The invention discloses a sand culture method capable of quickly screening low-cadmium grain rice varieties. The sand culture method includes: preparing a culture medium-river sand; collecting river sand of 20-40 meshes, using clear water to wash the river sand, using a HCl solution of 3.8% in mass concentration for soaking for 30min, using tap water to flush, and taking cleaning liquid obtained in the last time for cadmium content testing, wherein when cadmium content is lower than 0.001mg/L, the river sand can be used for rice culture experiments; preparing sand culture liquid of 1.0mg/L, 0.5mg/L and 0.2mg/L in cadmium concentration; respectively planting to-be-screened rice varieties in culture buckets, inserting 2-4 roots in each culture bucket, and performing conventional fertilizingculture, wherein each root is for a seedling; using cadmium-pollution-free water as irrigation water; when rice is mature, harvesting rice seeds, and taking rice varieties of lower than 0.2mg/kg in rice cadmium content as low-cadmium grain rice varieties which can be further used for field experiments.
