The method comprises the steps of obtaining a to-be-identified image, and locating human face key points in theto-be-identified image; obtaining N target human face key points used for determining a human eye contour in the human face key points, and obtaining position information of each target human face keypoint in the N target human face key points, wherein N is a positive integer greater than 1; according to the position information of each target human face key point, determining eye shape feature parameters of human eyes comprised in the to-be-identified image; and according to the eye shape feature parameters, determining the eye shape of the human eyes. By adopting the human face identification method and apparatus, the identification precision of a human face identification technology can be improved and the applicability of the human face identification technology is improved.
