Abstract

The invention discloses a method, a device and a system for selecting a session management functional entity. The method comprises the steps of receiving the information of a first session and a reselection instruction from user equipment (UE) of a first session management functional entity, wherein the reselection instruction is used for instructing to reselect the session management functional entity; storing a corresponding relation between the information of the first session and the first session management functional entity according to the reselection instruction; receiving a session building request message which carries the information of the first session; determining a second session management functional entity that is different from the first session management functional entity; and sending the session management request to the second session management functional entity. According to the abovementioned scheme, the problem that in the prior art, the selected session management functional entity is unreasonable is solved.
