Methods and apparatus for controlling implementation of services in a mobile telecommunications network (100). The mobile telecommunications network comprises a user database (110, 102; 210; 310a, 310b) for storing one or more user subscription profiles (112). Each user subscription profile is associated with services implemented in one or more network domains and comprises a plurality of individual Operator Determined Barring indicators, ODBs, (116; 316) and respective status information, for the services associated with the user subscription profile. The network node comprises a receiver (404) configured to receive, from the user database, a user subscription profile, a master ODB (114; 214; 314) indicating barring for a plurality of the services associated with the user subscription profile and master ODB status information. The network node comprises an ODB status determiner (416) configured to determine that the master ODB is active based on the received master ODB status information.
