A method and an apparatus for generating a question-answer pair are provided in an embodiment of that present invention. The method comprises the following steps: inputting a query text into a problemgeneration model to obtain a problem list, wherein the problem list includes a plurality of problems related to the query text; determining corresponding answer segments according to each question inthe question list; inputting each question and its corresponding answer fragment to the matching model for correlation judgment; generating each question and answer pair according to the correlationjudgment result.
