Via the electronic device disclosed in the embodimentof the present application, a depth image of a billiard table top can be obtained via a flight time camera, and a color image of the billiard table top can be obtained through a color camera. According to the depth image, dimensions of the billiard tabletop and positions of multiple billiard balls on the billiard table top can be determined; according to the color image, a cue ball and a target ball to be hit can be determined among a plurality of billiard balls, and a first ball stopping position of the target ball after the target ball is hit is determined. According to positions of the cueball and the target ball, the dimensions of the billiard table top and the first ball stopping position, ball hitting parameters required for the cue ball to hit the target ball to the first ball stopping position are determined, and the ball hitting parameters are displayed. As long as a hitter hits the cue ball according to the hitting parameters displayed via the electronic device, the targetball is be hit by the cue ball and then moved to a designated ball stopping position, and the difficulty of hitting the billiard balls can be lowered.
