The selection method comprises the steps that the terminal sends information of a network slice to the domain name server, a multimedia system entry network element supporting the network slice is requested to be obtained, and the domain name server returns the multimedia system entry network element supporting the network slice to the terminal. Furthermore, the terminal can be connected to the IMS through the multimedia system entry network element, and the methodselects a proper multimedia system entry network element for the terminal, so that the selection of a proper IMS network is facilitated, and the correct connection to the IMS is realized.
