Abstract

The invention provides an automatic vehicle software update feedback system. A vehicle includes an in-vehicle controller that initiates an automatic feedback mode in response to a software update to the vehicle controller and generates a trigger signal when an update state query condition and a feedback end condition are detected. The trigger signal causes communication of a feedback update stateidentifying success or failure of the software update, and terminates the feedback mode upon detection of a feedback end condition.
