Abstract

The decoding method comprises the following steps: obtaining a code stream containing image data; analyzing the code stream to obtain node division mode information of a first-stage coding tree andnode division mode information of a second-stage coding tree, the node division mode information of the second-stage coding tree indicating a division mode corresponding to a first node in the second-stage coding tree, wherein the division mode corresponding to the first node is one of candidate division mode sets corresponding to the first node determined according to a first preset division condition, and the first preset division condition is used for indicating whether the division of the first node according to a target division mode is limited or not; if the division mode corresponding to the first node is non-continuous division, analyzing the code stream to obtain coding information of the first node; and decoding and reconstructing the coding unit corresponding to the first node according to the coding information of the first node to obtain an image corresponding to the image data.
