Abstract

The invention provides application of magnolol to preparation of a drug for preventing and/or treating myelitis. The magnolol can significantly reduce inflammatory cell infiltration in EAE model mouse spinal cord, and also significantly alleviates demyelination phenomenon. Therefore, the magnolol can be used for preparing the drug for preventing or treating autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
