Abstract

The invention discloses a child safety seat which comprises: a supporting base suitable for being placed on a vehicle seat; a seat shell which can be arranged on the supporting base, wherein the seat shell is provided with a front end, a seat part and a backrest, an opening is formed in the front end, two side walls protrude from the left side and the right side of the seat part respectively, and a space for a child to sit is defined between the two side walls in the seat part; a retractable front end, wherein the retractable front end part is provided with a transverse part and two side parts connected with the transverse part, the transverse part extends along the width direction of the seat shell, and the two side parts are respectively pivoted with the two side walls of the seat shell, so that the front end part pivots relative to the seat shell between an extension state and a retraction state, the transverse part of the front end part is at least partially accommodated in the opening when in a contraction state, and the transverse part of the front end part extends out of the opening when in an extension state; and a locking mechanism which can lock the front end part in the stretching state.
