Embodiment Construction

[0044] In the following, concepts and methods will be described in the context of NR technology. However, these concepts and methods can be applied to other RATs. Furthermore, these concepts and methods can be discussed for uplink transmission of communication signaling in the context of communication between a network node (gNB) and UE (wireless device), but can also be applied to downlink transmission in some cases Scenes. They can generally be applied in side-link scenarios or in backhaul or relay scenarios where both radio nodes involved can be UEs and in backhaul or relay scenarios where both radio nodes Nodes can all be network nodes.

[0045] figure 1 An exemplary scenario of reply message transmission is shown in a simplified manner. Shows a time sequence of time slots eg in a TDD system where uplink and downlink transmissions use the same frequency bandwidth or carrier such that the direction of communication may vary. However, the method is also applicable to FD...

Abstract

A method of operating a wireless device (10) in a radio access network is disclosed, the wireless device (10) being configured with a slot configuration according to which a slot has a plurality of sub-slots, the method comprising transmitting acknowledgement information based on a received timing indication indicating a sub-slot number for transmitting the acknowledgement information and based on a sub-slot offset, the acknowledgement information reports topic transmissions in the sub-slots. Related methods and apparatus are also disclosed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to radio access technologies specifically for use in 5G networks. Background technique [0002] Acknowledgment signals, such as HARQ signaling, play an important role in providing reliable communication. In many cases, the HARQ codebook is semi-statically configured (or fixed over a number of transmission timing structures), especially in terms of its size. However, the subject transmissions considered to be reported by HARQ signaling may change dynamically. To ensure sufficiently reliable HARQ signaling, the codebook can be configured with a size large enough to cover the largest case of topic transmissions. However, for cases where there are few topic transmissions to be reported, this may require stuffing the HARQ signaling to fill the codebook size, wasting resources. This is especially true when sub-slots are introduced, which can carry resources for acknowledgment signaling, especially in the context of a fixed c...
