Abstract

An image encoding / decoding method and apparatus are provided. An image decoding method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: acquiring prediction mode information on a neighboring block for a current block from a bitstream; deriving a prediction mode of the neighboring block by using the acquired information; and reconstructing the current block based on the prediction mode of the neighboring block.
