Embodiment Construction

[0010] Fig. 1 is a sectional view of an extruder equipped with a preferred embodiment of an extrusion nozzle structure according to the present invention. The structure of the extruder itself is common in the art, so it will not be described in detail here. Components which will be described in more detail are marked 1 to 5 in FIG. 1 . Reference numeral 1 denotes a die adapter, which is a part of the frame of the extruder, and in which a die 2 of a rotary extrusion nozzle structure is installed. The die is arranged to be movable in the axial direction relative to the die adapter 1 so that the die can move towards the rotating extrusion nozzle due to the process pressure, ie to the right in FIG. 1 . The rotary nozzle is numbered 4 and the sealing disc sealing the rotary engagement between the rotary nozzle and the die 2 is numbered 3 . The material to be extruded that generates the sealing pressure is sent into the extrusion nozzle structure through the flow channel 5 .

Abstract

The invention relates to a rotating nozzle structure of an extruder which comprises a rotatable nozzle, a die, which rests against the extruder frame and which comprises an annular front surface on the nozzle side, and a sealing plate, which is arranged between the front surface of the die and the nozzle and pressed tightly against the sealing surface of the nozzle to seal the nozzle with respect to the die. According to the invention, the die is arranged to slide in the axial direction with respect to the extruder frame and comprises a flow channel, which is under pressure of the material to be extruded and tapers conically towards the nozzle, and that the ratio of the area(Atiiv)of the die's annular front surface to the area(Aproj)of the projection surface of the flow channel's conical section is between 0.1 and 10.

Description

Background of the invention [0001] The invention relates to a structure of a rotary extrusion nozzle of an extruder, which consists of a rotary extrusion nozzle, a mold that rests on the frame of the extruder and has a ring-shaped front surface on one side of the extrusion nozzle, and is configured on The sealing sheet is between the front surface of the mold and the extrusion nozzle and pressed against the sealing surface of the extrusion nozzle to seal the extrusion nozzle relative to the mold. [0002] The structure of the above-mentioned rotary extrusion nozzle can be applied, for example, to extrude a groove member used as a core member in an optical cable. When such a flute piece is extruded, a part of the extrusion nozzle structure must be rotated to obtain the desired helical twist or reverse twist of the groove of the flute piece. This helical or counter-twist is necessary to keep the optical fibers, fiber ribbons, etc. from being subjected to excessive tension when ...
