first embodiment

[0023]Please refer to FIG. 1A and 1B for the invention when in use. A packaging component 15 is located on an open space along the side of a book 10. The packaging component 15 selects a first packaging page (101, which is a front cover page 103 attached to book binding 14) and a second packaging page (102, which is a back cover page 104 attached to the book binding 14). The open spaces of both sides of the book 10 according to the first and packaging pages 101, 102 have a rip-away strip 13 respectively. The rip-away strip 13 has a discontinuous rip-line 12. A holding slip 11 is located above the rip-away slip 13, which can be used to strip away the long-bar shape rip-away strip 13 to preview the content of the book 10.

second embodiment

[0024]Please refer to FIG. 2A and 2B for the invention when in use. The packaging component 15 is attached to the front cover page 103 and the next page of the back cover page 104 or any two pages needed to be packaged of the book 10. A holding slip 11 is located above the rip-away slip 13, which can be used to strip away the long-bar shape rip-away strip 13 to preview the content of the book 10.

third embodiment

[0025]Please refer to FIG. 3A and 3B for the invention when in use. Except for the front cover page 103 and back cover page 104 of the book 10, the rest of pages are bound by a U-shaped packaging page 16 that is inserted into parts of the book 10 covered by the package component 15 for protection. The packaging component 15 then binds the U-shaped packaging page 16 having a suitable length along with the rest of the book 10 by attachment onto the book binding 14. The discontinuous rip lines 12 are located on the appropriate location of the front or the back side of the U-shaped packaging page 16 or the middle of the U-shaped packaging page 16 of open spaces 17 along the edges. Simply rip along the lines 12 on the U-shaped packaging 16 to preview the content of the book 10.

Abstract

An environmental-friendly book cover packaging with built-in bookmarks works by inserting the front and back cover pages and into the books, and using customizable cut-in edges to secure the cover around the book. Packaging pages with rip lines can be inserted book to prevent the book from opening up unintentionally. The user only have to rip along the preset lines on the cover (this step can be omitted if the book cover and back pages are inserted into the packaging first) to begin reading the book. The ripped strips are also designed to work as bookmarks, unless the book cover and back pages are inserted into the packaging first. This invention allows a reduction in the cost of book packaging and in garbage disposal, featuring an efficient and environmental-friendly solution to packaging books.
