first embodiment

[0112]With reference to FIG. 1, an information processing apparatus for executing an information processing program according to a first embodiment and an information processing system including the information processing apparatus will be described. Hereinafter, in order to provide a specific description, a stationary game apparatus body 5 is used as an example of the information processing apparatus, and a game system including the game apparatus body 5 will be described. FIG. 1 is an external view illustrating an example of the game system 1 including the stationary game apparatus body 5. FIG. 2 is a block diagram illustrating an example of the game apparatus body 5. Hereinafter, the game system 1 will be described.

[0113]As shown in FIG. 1, the game system 1 includes a household television receiver (hereinafter, referred to as a monitor) 2 which is an example of display means, and the stationary game apparatus 3 connected to the monitor 2 via a connection cord. The monitor 2 incl...

second embodiment

[0282]The game played by using the terminal device 6 and the board type controller 9 is not limited to the above-mentioned first exemplary game, but various exemplary games are considered. In the following description of the outline of information processing according to a second embodiment, a second exemplary game is adopted as an example of the information processing. Since an information processing apparatus for executing an information processing program according to the second embodiment, and an information processing system including the information processing apparatus are identical to those of the first embodiment, the same components as those of the first embodiment are designated by the same reference numerals, and the detailed description thereof is omitted.

[0283]Firstly, an outline of information processing performed on the game apparatus body 5 will be described with reference to FIGS. 18A, 18B, 19, and 20 before a specific description of process steps performed by the ...

third embodiment

[0334]Hereinafter, information processing according to a third embodiment will be described based on another exemplary game which is played by using the terminal device 6 and the board type controller 9. In the following description of the outline of the information processing according to the third embodiment, a third exemplary game is adopted as an example of the information processing. Since an information processing apparatus for executing an information processing program according to the third embodiment, and an information processing system including the information processing apparatus are identical to those of the first embodiment, the same components as those of the first embodiment are designated by the same reference numerals, and the detailed description thereof is omitted.

[0335]Firstly, an outline of information processing performed on the game apparatus body 5 will be described with reference to FIGS. 25A, 25B, and 26 before a specific description of processes of the ...

Abstract

It is determined, based on attitude data, whether or not a direction of a predetermined axis set in a portable display device is within a first range. When the result of the determination is that the direction of the predetermined axis is within the first range, an action of a first object arranged in a virtual world is controlled based on the direction of the predetermined axis. When it is determined that the direction of the predetermined axis is outside the first range, at least an action of a second object arranged in the virtual world is controlled based on the direction of the predetermined axis. Then, a first image showing the virtual world including at least the first object and the second object is displayed on the portable display device.

Description

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION[0001]The disclosure of Japanese Patent Application No. 2011-083455, filed on Apr. 5, 2011, is incorporated herein by reference.FIELD[0002]The exemplary embodiments relate to computer-readable storage media, information processing systems, and information processing methods. More particularly, the exemplary embodiments relate to computer-readable storage media, information processing systems, and information processing methods, which enable, for example, processing based on an action of a user.BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY[0003]Conventionally, there are known game apparatuses in which a single user controls a plurality of objects in a virtual world. For example, in a conventional game apparatus, in a virtual world, an action of a player character A, an action of a player character B, a position of lighting, and the like are controlled based on an operation by a user. Specifically, when the user presses a button A, the player character A jumps in the vi...
