The invention discloses an impeller type washing machine with a box-shape detergent instant dissolver. The washing machine comprises a housing, an outer cylinder, an inner cylinder, and an impeller. The housing is provided with a washing agent box and a detergent dissolving device. The detergent dissolving device comprises a box body, a guiding pipe, and stirrers. The stirrers stir to form water flow. The water flow becomes circulating flow through guiding of the guiding pipe. Electric heating and the circulating flow accelerate to dissolve detergent, so that the detergent is thoroughly dissolved in water before clothes are washed. The impeller comprises an impeller disk. The upper surface of the impeller disk is provided with a middle part boss and a plurality of washing ribs. The lower surface of the impeller disk is provided with a plurality of annular reinforcing ribs and a plurality of impeller blades. The impeller disk is provided with blowholes which communicate upper space and lower space of the impeller, and the blowholes are between two adjacent impeller blades, and are on the outer side of the annular reinforcing rib on the outermost, and are close to the periphery of the middle part boss. The impeller formed by the impeller blades satisfies that when the impeller rotates in the forward direction or in the reverse direction, water flow formed by stirring of the impeller flows through the blowholes upward or downward.
