Problems solved by technology
However, in the above-mentioned device, in the productivity-oriented mode and the hole position accuracy-oriented mode, the movement of the lateral resistance sensor is started at a predetermined timing after the front end of the paper is detected by the rear end detection sensor regardless of the paper size and the paper conveyance speed.
Therefore, when the conveying speed is increased to improve processing performance, there is a problem that it is too late to drive to the detection position.

The present invention provides a paper processing device and a paper processing method. The paper processing device comprises a control part which determines whether an end detection component can detect the end of paper at the condition that a first or a second detection part has detected the front end of paper and is going to move from the end detection component to the width direction based on at least random one information selected from conveying velocity of paper and length of paper in conveying direction. The control part selects a detection part at the most downstream part in the conveying direction in the first or the second detection part based on the determined result. The end detection component is started to be used for detecting the end moving of paper in the width direction at the condition that the selected first or the second detection component detects the front end of the conveyed paper.
