Embodiment Construction

[0024] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below using the drawings.

[0025] figure 1 It is a perspective view of the appearance of a slim slot-in optical disc drive, (a) showing the state with the upper cover removed, and (b) showing the part called the feed mechanism where the spindle motor, turntable, OPU, etc. are installed. figure 1 (a) shows a state in which an optical disc 100 is inserted through the slot 101 and clamped on the turntable 102 . In order to enable an overview of internal components, it is assumed that the optical disc 100 is transparent. The optical disc 100 held on the turntable 102 is rotated by rotating the spindle motor 103 . The OPU 104 moves in the radial direction of the optical disc 100 along the guide main shaft 106 and the guide sub-shaft 107 as the slide motor 105 rotates, and performs information recording and reproduction at a specified position. As described above, during the loading time before the optical disc 100 is...

Abstract

An optical disk device in which the thickness of the device is not increased, and interference between the bottom surface of an optical pickup unit (OPU) and a bottom case of the device is prevented upon emergency ejection of an optical disk without moving the optical pickup unit to an outermost peripheral position of the disk in the event of abnormality such as power shutdown during an operationin the optical disk device. A support mechanism having a coil spring is provided at shaft-holders in three of four positions of a guide main shaft and a guide sub shaft to support an OPU, to perform skew adjustment. In another position, a support mechanism having a plate spring is provided such that, upon emergency ejection, the interference between the bottom surface of the OPU and the bottom case is mitigated.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an optical disc device for driving an optical disc used as a recording medium for recording devices such as information devices such as computer systems, DVD (Digital Video Disc) cameras / recorders, and BD (Blu-ray Disc) cameras / recorders. Background technique [0002] In recent years, optical disc devices mounted on personal computers (hereinafter referred to as PCs), DVD cameras / recorders, BD cameras / recorders, etc. have become thinner. Conventionally, in order to perform recording and reproduction in such devices, as a method of loading optical discs such as DVDs and BDs, a tray system in which the optical discs are placed on an optical disc tray to be loaded and unloaded is often used. [0003] However, in order to meet the demands for miniaturization and thinning of PCs and cameras / recorders, thin slot-in types that do not use trays have been increasing in recent years. This type of device is such that when the use...
